Precision Seeding

Precision Seeding

Precision seeding is an efficient, accurate, and budget-friendly method for large seeding projects. A precision seeder is built with notched rollers that properly place the grass seed in the top 1/2" of a prepared seedbed, resulting in maximum seed germination.

The concept of precision seeding is based on the idea that skipped seeds amount to wasted land, not to mention the wasted effort spent preparing and fertilizing the land. With a precision seeder, seeds drop out of a slot at timed increments to place them at the exact depth and spacing required.

The seeding accuracy available with precision seeding doesn't replace the need to prepare the land, irrigate the soil, and manage the crops. Its advantage lies in its reliability: the seeds you plant are more likely to see improved yields, ranging from 20 to 50% improvement in many cases, because the seeds have the space they need to grow.

Precision placement allows for seeding rates that can be reduced by up to half of the rates previously used. The agitator braking system eliminates unwanted seed loss while the seeder is not in contact with the ground.

At Pineview, we focus on preparing seedbeds properly, which is vital for precision seeding to be successful.
