Native Plant Supply & Tree Nursery
Pineview now offers a supply of propagated Northeast BC plant species for use in commercial & residential landscapes, reforestation, construction, habitat restoration, stream rehabilitation, and industrial reclamation sites.
All our species are harvested and grown locally, meeting the local demand for native plants in restoring sites to their original state. As advocates of local sustainability, Pineview aims to set an example for environmentally responsible work processes and practices.
Now offering:
Why rooted live stakes?
Live stakes, most often used for reclamation or reforestation sites, commonly average about 2-4% establishment success.
However, live ROOTED stakes average about 70-80% establishment success. Because their roots have already been established, carefully pruned and monitored to root as deep as possible, these seedlings have a much higher success rate once planted.
To us, the choice is easy.
Why native plants?
Native plants are good for the environment.
Native plants prevent weed infestations.
Native plants preserve local water sources.
Twin Sisters Native Plants Nursery
Pineview is proud to partner with Twin Sisters Nursery, a fellow company in the Peace Region, to ensure the best results for your project.
Twin Sisters Native Plants Nursery was established by the Saulteau and West Moberly First Nations to offer native plant propagation. The nursery collects seeds and sells plants, shrubs, and trees to aid in reclamation efforts, distributing native plant species to remediate the effects of mining and other industrial disturbances on the native landscape.
The nursery's goal is to restore the region's ecological balance and to return areas to their natural state. The use of native plants helps to minimize any negative environmental impact.
Pineview has established a tree farm in Spring 2021 in order to grow, harvest, & plant native species locally for reclamation projects.
