Say NO to Runoff, Turbidity, & Other Big Words 🌱

Say NO to Sediment Runoff

DID YOU KNOW that hydraulic mulch (hydroseeding) can reduce sediment runoff to almost nothing? No joke!

Broadcast seeding, erosion control blankets, and silt fences don't hold a candle to hydraulic mulch because of the staying power. Built in tackifier and fertilizer for quick germination paired with the water holding power of fiber mulch, makes this the ultimate solution for minimizing sediment runoff.

With tackifier in the hydromulch, soil is stabilized. Without that, sediment will detach and translocate, creating runoff and erosion.

What is Turbidity?

A measure of the level of particles (dirt, etc.) in a body of water.

And what is turbidity caused by? Sediment runoff! And why is it so bad?

  • Hinder visibility for animals to hunt prey
  • Decreases aquatic plants ability to photosynthesize
  • Reduces fish resistance to diseases
  • Alters egg and larval development
  • Smothers bottom dwelling insects, snails, worms, etc.

And because we all love to look at hydroseeding pics (amiright?), here's a few from our latest job completed last week...?
