Wildfires & Invasive Species Awareness

In like a lamb out like a lion, am I right? Although we are finally seeing some of that fluffy white stuff around the Peace Region, it's not too soon to start thinking about Spring...and wildfires.

With record low precipitation levels through the winter, we need to start thinking about wildfire season again even if we don't want to.

Let us remind you why it's important your industrial site's vegetation is under control during a dry season.


Prep your sites for wildfire season:


  • Clear tall or dead vegetation from around infrastructure
  • Sufficient area around flare stacks & ignition sources should be free of vegetation
  • Clear vegetation away from power lines
  • Have a plan in place!

What's the big deal, anyway?


According to the Invasive Species Council of BC:
